Overview / Responsibilities:
The
Graduate Renewable Energy Consultant role will primarily focus on financial modelling in the energy transition space. The role will form part of a multi-disciplinary team specializing in renewable energy, grid integration, energy transition and industrial decabornization; providing advisory and technical solutions across onshore and offshore renewables, energy storage, hydrogren, CCS and CCUS and other technologies. The role will provide advisory and financial modelling services to our clients, supporting the financial assessments of a range of technology design and operating scenarios and providing wider client advice across the project lifecycle.

The
Graduate Renewable Energy Consultant role will primarily focus on financial modelling in the energy transition space. Responsibilities:
- Modelling the financials of projects and technology developments on behalf of lenders, investors and other project stakeholders
- Collaborate with colleagues on research and development initiatives that accelarate industrial decarbonization
- Working within multi-disciplinary teams of engineers and other technical staff in the completion of due diligence assignments, under the direction and supervision of project managers
- Contribute to business development activities and assist in securing new opportunities for the company
- Improve upon and maintain operational cost forecasting tools
- Author and complete report sections within project deadlines, and scope requirements
- Supporting the development of proposals to secure new work
Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Masters Degree in Engineering or Renewables-related discipline such as environmental science
- Experience of building financial models and forecasts in Excel or R as well as off the shelf solutions from AspenTech or similar
- Desired experience of probabilistic modelling and energy market forecasts
- Ability to prepare high quality, concise documents to convey methodology, outcomes and uncertainties and financial information to internal and external project stakeholders
- Excellent communication (written and spoken) in English, with the ability to engage and interface with stakeholders
- Self starter keen to ask questions of study managers and SME across a range of Wood teams
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- A flexible and proactive approach to completing work
- Valid driving license for use with in USA
- Must be US Citizen or authorized to work lawfully in the US, without sponsorship from Wood
