Wright-Ryan Construction, Inc. Hiring for Summer Internships 2023 – Carpentry at Portland, Maine Full Time

Wright-Ryan is a Maine based, employee-owned company offering General Contractor/Construction Management services for a variety of commercial, higher education, hospitality and healthcare office projects. We believe that a summer spent working in our Field Operations Division provides the perfect introduction to the field and chance to gain experience working on a job site. Both are essential to beginning a career as a Project Engineer or Field Engineer upon graduation.

Once hired, our Project Engineers and Field Engineers have the opportunity to learn and grow within the company and advance through Wright-Ryan’s Project Management or Field Supervision ladders.

We have current openings in the Field Operations Division for Sophomores and Juniors in Construction Management programs.

Interns gain exposure to commercial and homes jobsites and putting field carpentry in place. Interns are assigned to projects according to the skill and experience they have. Previous carpentry skills are a plus, but not required.

Qualifications:

• Current matriculation in a two-year (have completed the first year) or four-year (Junior or Sophomore) program

• Passion for building and construction

• Genuine interest in learning about modern construction jobsite management

• Willingness to assist in putting work in place

• Ability to commit to 40 hours per week during the spring/summer months of 2023
