WSP is currently initiating a search for an Emergency Manager who is eager to assist during disasters on an on-call basis as a reservist employee, with the availability to deploy with little or no advance notice. This position can be based in Mobile, AL or any other WSP USA office location.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead Emergency Management team, providing services to clients preparing for, responding to, and recovering from disasters nationwide.
• Manage Emergency Operations Center and/or Field Staging Area operations prior to, during, and post-disaster.
• Lead and perform oversight of on-site duties including logistics, supply, cost/documentation and/or resource unit functions.
• Attend periodic training throughout the year to maintain deployment eligibility.
• Support Emergency Management Project Management functions.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5+ years in an Emergency Management role (Response, Recovery or related)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Emergency Management, Public Administration, or similar/related concentration
• Broad knowledge of Emergency Management principles, methods and techniques
• FEMA Emergency Management Institute Independent Study – Professional Development Series certification
• Travel Required – Must be able to deploy to disaster area, with little or no advance notice and potentially for long durations
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies (DO Must successfully complete and pass WSP’s Motor Vehicle screening.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Emergency Management (or related field)
• Asset Management and Supply Logistical Operational Experience
• Previous experience managing Field Staging Areas or state Emergency Operations Center or related environment

Compensation and Benefits:

WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and retirement savings focused on a providing health and financial stability throughout the employee’s career. Expected Salary: $67,200-133,000
