WSP is currently initiating a search for a Part-Time, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Manager to be located in the Northeastern U.S

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead project teams and direct subject matter experts, and third-party partners to design and implement ITS and system engineering projects
• Deliver quality projects on schedule and meet the budget and financial requirements established for the projects (both for the client as well as WSP)
• Provide quality assurance and quality control oversight
• Prepare technical reports and cost estimates which include the creation of functional and technical specification documentation
• Engage in business development efforts to secure ITS and system engineering project

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Transportation, Transportation Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field
• 12+ years of related experience and responsibilities delivering ITS solutions for public transit authorities
• Experience with Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD), Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL), Automated Voice Annunication (AVA), Mobile Data Terminals (MDT), Automatic Passenger Counting (APC), and Dynamic Passenger Information (DPI) Systems
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong technical writing, analytical and communication skills
• Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products
• The selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately.
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using CADD and MicroStation
• Experience with conceptual plans, specifications and proposal development
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
