WTWH Media (www.wtwhmedia.com) is seeking a talented and detail-oriented early-career Web Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for website development and a strong foundation in WordPress, SQL, databases, and API integration. This role involves working on a variety of projects, including developing and maintaining websites, managing databases, and integrating various data sources via APIs.

Responsibilities

Website Development and Maintenance:

Develop and maintain websites using WordPress

Implement responsive design to ensure websites are mobile-friendly

Troubleshoot and resolve website issues in a timely manner

Data & Database Management

Design, develop, and maintain SQL databases

Ensure database integrity, security and organize data effectively

Analyze data to identify trends and insights

Perform regular backups and data recovery operations

API Programming And Integration

Integrate third-party APIs to enhance website functionality

Develop and maintain custom APIs as needed

Ensure efficient data flow between databases and web interfaces

Collaboration And Reporting

Report progress and challenges to the Senior Developer or Project Manager

Collaborate with other team members and departments to meet project goals

Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing

Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WordPress

Strong experience with SQL and database management

Experience working with APIs and integrating them into other systems

Basic understanding of version control tools, like Git

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively

Preferred Skills

Experience with other programming languages (e.g., Python, Rust, Go, Java)

Knowledge of modern web development frameworks and tools

Familiarity with Kanban or Agile development methodologies

Work Environment

This role operates in a professional office environment but allows for remote work flexibility within a traditional Monday to Friday workweek, with occasional need to work outside of standard hours to meet project deadlines.
