The MHST crisis worker is part of a mobile response team serving York Region. Working in partnership with York Regional Police and York Region EMS services, the MHST Crisis Response Worker is responsible for providing crisis assessment, intervention and stabilization to individuals who have serious mental health and/or addiction concerns and as necessary link individuals to appropriate ongoing mental health & addiction services. Both York Region MHST units are comprised of a York Region Police officer and crisis worker.
