Yorkdale Volkswagen is looking for a Parts Delivery Driver to support the Parts Department and any other direction provided from the Parts Manager. The Parts Delivery Driver is responsible for the pick-up and delivery of parts in a safe and efficient manner.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides courteous, efficient, and professional delivery of automotive parts utilizing a company vehicle.
• On a daily basis, inspects the parts vehicle and completes the inspection forms. This includes, checks all fluids and adds, if necessary.
• Prior to going on delivery, collects garbage and recycling from the Parts Department and brings to the disposal containers.
• Assists with shipping/receiving and picking/stocking auto parts, when not driving.
• Maintains order integrity by verifying that the parts being delivered are accurately captured on the invoice. Ensures all orders, regardless of the payment type, are signed for.
• When delivering fragile parts i.e., glass or lights, ensures the customer checks it before leaving.
• Unloads the parts vehicle every night and returns all documents and undelivered parts to the Parts Department.
• Utilizes communications equipment to communicate with the dealership i.e., has company phone charged, turned on, and with you at all times.
• Maintains an accurate delivery log while complying with customer service delivery strategies and tracking procedures.
• When changes occur to an invoice, calls the parts department.
• Notifies the Parts Manager of any services the delivery vehicle may require, such as oil changes, tires, cleaning and general maintenance.
• Maintains the cleanliness of the parts vehicles – both inside and outside.
• Uses good judgement and safe driving skills at all times i.e., uses hands-free options when using the phone while driving.
• Assists with keeping dealership parts department neat and orderly.
• Completes other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills

• Ontario G Class drivers’ license.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to drive a commercial cargo van and follow safety procedures.
• Good concentration while driving.
• Ability to read and comprehend maps and directions.
• Strong sense of direction within delivery area.
• Capable of lifting parts up to 50 lbs.
• Customer Service oriented.
