The Transportation Aviation Branch is responsible for the management, development and maintenance of the Yukon Government aviation system, which includes 5 certified airports and 23 registered aerodromes. Driven by a commitment to safety and security, efficient and effective programing and progressive leadership, the Aviation Branch is a dedicated and professional team.
Reporting to the Manager, Whitehorse Airport, this position collaborates with branch program areas and is responsible for assisting the Manager in monitoring the day-to-day operations and services at the Erik Nielsen Whitehorse International Airport. This position will ensure completion of necessary corrective actions in areas such as administration, airport safety and security, airside and groundside maintenance, apron management, land and building space assignments, property management services, and air carrier/aviation service provider activities.
