The Parenting Department at Zahra Media Group (which includes everymum.ie, and the Ultimate Maternity Guide, and Pregnancy Diary, and National Parenting Product Awards) are seeking a versatile, hard-working, and talented Editorial Intern to join our fabulous team.

Our intern will be fully involved in the Parenting Editorial Team’s tasks. The successful candidate will spend their time researching and generating content ideas, interviewing, writing, fact-checking, copyediting, and contributing to team brainstorm and inspiration sessions. You will have the opportunity to have your own writing published on everymum.ie.

Parenting Editorial Intern Duties:

• Researching and writing new content for everymum.ie
• Writing breaking news stories
• Assisting in the day-to-day running of everymum.ie
• Working with brands on content collaborations
• Building emails, and other administrative tasks

As a Parenting Editorial Intern, you will have the opportunity to learn the inner workings of a busy publishing company, from online content creation, and magazine publishing, to analysis of key performance indicators.

Required:

• A degree in media, English or a related field.
• Top-notch writing ability, with a keen eye for language, grammar, tone and punctuation
• An eye for a good news story
• Journalistic mind
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Unflappable, positive and conscientious personality
• A creative and positive mindset
• Some experience in a similar role would be beneficial
• Understanding of Content Marketing, SEO/Google analytics would be a bonus
• Knowledge of Wordpress/Kentico or experience working with HTML is a plus
