Atlas Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries is searching for a Shipper to join our plant in Harrow, Ontario. You will be responsible for the proper loading of trucks with steel tubing.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plans for the safe loading of material for outbound shipments
Scans all bundles moved in the warehouse
Performs a daily crane inspection to ensure proper working order
Participate in the training of newly assigned teammates on the shipper job responsibilities
Report any irregularities or malfunctions to supervisors, managers and/or maintenance
Work in a team environment, helping other teammates with achieving departmental goals
Keep work area and/or equipment organized, clean and in a safe working condition
Follow workplace safety practices set forth by Atlas Tube Inc. policies and the Ontario Health & Safety Act. and work toward the ongoing safety of all teammates
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
Ability to work various shifts including continental.
Overhead Crane expereince an asset.
Completion of a 2 year post-secondary preferred.
Regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per the posted schedule is an essential function of this role
Lead and promote health and safety work practices as required by regulatory agencies and company policy
