ZIM Integrated Shipping Services Looking for Finance Officer – Accounts Payable at Auckland, Auckland, New Zealand Full Time

Key Responsibilities

• Accurate and timely processing of accounts payable invoices
• Process vendor invoice payment and send remittance advise
• Creation of new supplier accounts
• Assisting with month-end AP reporting and reconciliations
• Weekly Reconciliations of expenditure reconciliations accordingly to Principal’s requirements via ZIM systems
• Assist in accounts payable reporting in the System as and when required
• Perform covering duties as directed by the finance manager to ensure all standing processes and ad hoc tasks are completed within the associated deadline
• Deliver a positive customer experience at all opportunities to both internal and external stakeholders whilst ensuring compliance with regulatory and liner requirement. Working proactively to maximize customer experience
• Ensure appropriate attention to detail and handling of all documentation to ensure the correct release process as per liner requirements. Includes – Invoice, etc
• Proactively working as part of the organization to assist other team members and other departments to achieve the organizational goals and objectives
• Active and professional communications to all internal and external stakeholders
• Support other teams within the company as appropriate
• Other tasks as required

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Accounts Payable
• TAFE Certificate in accounting or business-related discipline (essential)/ Tertiary qualifications in Commerce or Accounting
• Intermediate excel skills including competency to use MS office programs
• Positive attitude and can-do approach
• Exposure to shipping operations (desirable)
• SAP System experience (desirable)
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadline
• Fluent in English – both written and spoken
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
