Description:

Our client is looking for a Professional Engineer (PE) with experience working on municipal storm water projects. The ideal candidate has experience working for the cities as a Project Manager. 5-15 years of experience. They will be working on multiple projects in storm water project- multiple projects- reports to department head. This person will sit on site at a municipality in Tarrant County, work on a small team, and execute improvements and new construction projects within the storm water industry.

Responsible for successful completion of engineering projects including: preparation, planning, scheduling, conducting and coordinating of all technical activities on assigned project.

Responsible for the preparation of engineering project proposals.

Plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates assigned engineering work, monitors work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices and standards, and ensures effective communication and coordination on assigned projects between all disciplines and all other project consultants.

Responsible for resolving conflicts with clients and Project Team by handling complaints, settling disputes, and addressing grievances.

Main point of contract in the day-to-day interaction with the Client’s designated representative, jurisdictional agency personnel as well as coordination of all internal activities performed by engineering staff.

Responsible for overseeing the preparation of site plans, grading plans, drainage plans, drainage area maps, utility plans, traffic control plans, and similar plan sheets by the civil engineering design team. They are also responsible for obtaining the necessary permits.

Responsible for developing long-range objectives and specifying strategies to achieve these objectives.

Train and teach others by identifying educational needs and communicating training needs to management. Training your replacement will provide opportunity for personal advancement and encourage growth in the company.

The Project Manager will set an example for the design team in areas including punctuality, professionalism, dedication, attention to detail, and design excellence.

Effectively communicate with supervisors, peers, subordinates, clients, other consultants, municipalities, etc.
