Active Refrigeration are look for a senior HVAC technician based in the beautiful town of Timaru New Zealand.

We are looking for a senior experienced person qualified in HVAC who can diagnose a faulty system, identify possible problems, brainstorm solutions, and implement effective solutions. Diagnostic and testing skills are essential for delivering timely, safe, and energy efficient client services.

Whilst this position is based on mostly industrial clients the position will be focused on HVAC maintenance and service. If the applicant is curious to learn about industrial refrigeration solutions there may be opportunity in this space.

The applicant will require to have
– excellent communication skills in both client facing situations and within the team.
– be digital savvy for recording maintenance and service evidence and for communication purposes.
– experience with Microsoft 365 would be an advantage
– be trade certified
– hold a current drivers license
– EST qualified
– have at more than 5 years experience post trade certification
– show a willingness and ability to help train apprentices who are working towards their trade certification
– a desire to be curious about the trade and continue to learn and take the opportunity for professional development
