Cancer Care Alberta and the Department of Medical Physics in Calgary is seeking Radiation Oncology Medical Physicists to join our Radiation Medicine team as leaders in Cancer Care and Research in Alberta and beyond. A vibrant clinical and academic team focused on excellence in care at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre and the opening of the highly anticipated new Calgary Cancer Centre, we offer opportunities that complement clinical service with research, academic, and teaching activity in partnership with the medical physics graduate and residency programs of the University of Calgary. As a member of our team you will have a once-in-a-career opportunity to be part of bringing the second largest Cancer Facility in North America to clinical operation. Scheduled to open to the public in 2023, the 1.4 billion dollar Calgary Cancer Centre (CCC) will be a leading health care facility, academic, and research centre providing cancer services for Calgary and Southern Alberta. They will train and educate the end users for this program, in addition to defining the quality control program and commissioning plans. In addition to the usual workload associated with a tertiary clinical Radiation Medicine program, and the acceptance, commissioning and development of new programs at the CCC, suitable candidates will have ample opportunities in clinical and academic leadership. Such opportunities could include mentoring, teaching, and research in conjunction with the CAMPEP accredited graduate, residency and certificate programs; leadership in major focus areas; research and clinical translation partnered with support for seeking granting opportunities.
