Position Description:
Apex Engineering Group has an opening for an Administrative Coordinator in our Detroit Lakes, MN office. Primary responsibilities include serving as the front desk coordinator and providing assistance to employees and several project managers in the Detroit Lakes office. The position includes a wide variety of office administrative tasks such as document creation and editing, printing, copying, scanning, filing and organizational projects, answering calls, managing travel, processing incoming and outgoing mail, and being involved in a variety of operational activities.
Qualification Requirements:
· High School diploma or equivalent is required.
· Associates Degree specializing in administrative assistant, accounting, business, or related field is preferred.
· 3-5 years of office experience required. Previous experience working in an engineering, architecture or construction firm considered a plus.
· Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Windows/Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
· Must be able to interact in a positive manner and work both independently and in team environments.
· Excellent customer service, oral, and written communication skills.
· Must be detail orientated, self-motivated with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
· A valid driver’s license is required or the ability to obtain one.
· Must be flexible and willing to pitch in as needed.
· Perform responsibilities in a conscientious, legal, and ethical manner with a strong attention to detail.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to operate a computer under normal ergonomic office conditions.
· Ability to lift boxes and supplies up to 35 lbs.
· Required to work in the Detroit Lakes, MN office during scheduled hours of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

Essential Functions:
· General administrative duties using the Microsoft 365 Suite, printing, copying, scanning, filing, answering calls, and processing incoming and outgoing mail.
· Inventory and ordering supplies, managing travel, and a multitude of other coordination tasks.
· Assisting in a wide variety of operational activities.
· Perform daily opening and closing duties including office upkeep.
· Attend company and project meetings as requested.
· Understand and follow company employee handbook and mandated safety policies.
· Participate in training opportunities that will develop technical and interpersonal soft skills.
· May occasionally require overtime to meet project deadlines.
· Other duties as assigned.
