The Software Engineer I will contribute to our insurance compliance solution, Smart Ensure. We make insurance a seamless experience for property managers, enabling them to track and enforce an insurance requirement with minimal effort. As a software engineer you’ll help improve our robust system of record and compliance enforcement powered by machine learning.

Your impact

• Improve accuracy to help our property manager customers reach 100% insurance coverage
• Evolve the UX to reduce the burden of insurance compliance so our customers can spend more of their valuable time growing their business and serving their tenants.
• Refactor existing code to improve reliability, maintainability and reduce complexity.

Must have

• At least one of the following, both are preferred:
• BS, MS, or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
• 1+ years of hands-on work experience, outside of internships and education, developing web-based applications.

Nice to have

• Experience working with Ruby or other dynamically typed languages.
• Experience working with React or other Front End frameworks.
• Full stack development experience.
• Familiarity with Agile software development
• Familiarity with Test-Driven-Development

Compensation

The base salary that we reasonably expect to pay for this role is: $104,000-$130,000.

The actual base salary for this role will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s skills, education, experience, etc.

Please note that base pay is one important aspect of a compelling Total Rewards package.

The base pay range indicated here does not include any additional benefits or bonuses that you may be eligible for based on your role and/or employment type.
