Our team supports over 3,000 staff, growing to 4,000 at peak times across the academic year. There is never a dull moment!

Reporting to the Operations Manager – Shared Services, you will provide first-line support about all aspects of HR administration during the employee lifecycle, from recruitment through to resignation. Your tasks will include answering first-level enquiries, keeping our intranet up to date, managing the organisation’s hierarchy/positions, and preparing changes to terms and conditions. You will also support our colleagues’ administrative needs across People & Culture to ensure we deliver an outstanding HR experience.

Skills And Experience

• Experience in an administration or coordination role
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with accuracy and attention to detail
• A customer service approach to your work and contribute positively to AUT’s culture
• Ability to work under pressure, on own initiative and as part of a team to meet tight deadlines
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Working knowledge of ServiceNow or similar workflow ticketing system
• Understanding of the NZ Employment law in an HR context
• High level of confidentiality for sensitive information
• High level of professionalism and collaborative approach to teamwork
