Aurecon Looking for Associate, Rail at Wellington Full Time

We have a newly created growth opportunity for an Associate to join our Rail & Mass Transit team in Wellington, a role that will see you leading a variety of key rail projects.

Rail is a growing market with a Network Investment Programme of $4.5 billion over 10-years. Aurecon is actively working on major NZ projects and programmes including the Drury Rail Stations, Auckland Metro Programme (City Rail Link, Rail Network Growth Infrastructure Management), national resilience (slope stabilisation, river protection, structures), rail safety, systems and signals and future capacity growth. There are a number of exciting opportunities including Wellington Metro Upgrades and National Programme Business Cases looking at resilience and operations.

What will you do?

We are seeking a Rail Design Manager to join our team and work in both the rail planning and delivery phases.

Some of the things you will do to ‘Bring ideas to life’:

• Lead/coordinate a multi-disciplinary design team, including design partners, in rail planning and/or delivery projects (light rail or heavy rail)
• Work closely with our clients to listen, understand, and then address their needs
• Manage resources, subcontractors, and costs to deliver the projects
• Produce reports and other deliverables as required
• Be actively involved in safety in design and risk assessments
• Assist the resolution of design standard or operational requirements non-conformances
• Assist with the preparation of proposals for future work

What can you bring to the team?

We are looking for dedicated rail design management professionals to join our award-winning team to leave a legacy on New Zealand’s rail system. You will have a proven background working on rail projects with a development and/or delivery focus.

You will come to us as with extensive working knowledge of the multiple disciplines that make up a rail project. You will have experience leading diverse, multi-disciplinary teams within the rail industry.
