Barnet Hospital will be a UCL medical school teaching site for the first time and hence from end August 2023 for the first time Barnet hospital will receive a large number of year 4 students and a key role of the Barnet hospital CTF roles will involve implementation and delivery of the year 4 UCLMS program
The posts allow for a half day clinically in a mutually agreed speciality
The posts will be for 1 year, starting in August 2022; or with consultation in September 2022. The salary to be determined by post holder’s previous NHS service or equivalent experience.
2 posts will be based at Barnet Hospital site and the other 2 posts will be based at the Hampstead site of Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust but all may occasionally be required to work cross site and at Chase Farm Hospital and at UCL.
Posts will involve collaboration with UCL Medical School to ensure that the medical school curriculum is delivered effectively. The postholders will be working with highly motivated and successful education teams, who have been awarded quality awards by UCL medical school. There will be the opportunity to liaise with a network of clinical teaching fellows based on the Royal Free site, UCL and Barnet Hospital for peer support and learning. In addition an honorary contract with UCL medical school can be applied for. You would be supported to undertake a formal education qualification, if desired, as well as participating in educational research and quality improvement.
