Description: A CFD Analyst job in Tucson, AZ is currently accepting applications. This is a contract position with our key aerospace client. In this role, you will be responsible for performing detailed internal fluid flow distribution analysis within ventilation systems and distribution to/ from crew cabin volumes. You will also interface with subsystem design leads and other subsystem analysts/engineers, mechanical designers, component engineers, test engineers, safety, reliability, other subsystem engineers, and ground system engineering teams. To be considered for this role, you will have a M.S. Degree in Engineering along with at least 5+ years of fluid-system hardware-related experience.

CFD Analyst Job Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed internal fluid flow distribution analysis within ventilation systems and distribution to/ from crew cabin volumes

• Interface with subsystem design leads and other subsystem analysts/engineers, mechanical designers, component engineers, test engineers, safety, reliability, other subsystem engineers, and ground system engineering teams

• Support test planning and test data analysis and completion of verification/validation documents and reports to support vehicle certification.

• Work in a team environment to support conceptual design through product implementation

CFD Analyst Job Requirements:

• M.S. Degree in Engineering strongly desired

• At least five years of fluid-system hardware-related experience.

• Must have strong grasp of flow physics and computational numerics.

• Candidates must have experience with high turbulence internal flow modeling.

• Candidate must be experienced with the ANSYS Fluent CFD analysis tool set.

• Experience in SOLIDWORKS FlowSIM is desired.

• Previous experience modeling fans and porous media is desired.

• Candidate must have experience generating structured and unstructured CFD grids.

• Must have knowledge of CFD including algorithms, turbulence modeling and high performance computing.

• Must have demonstrated an ability to deliver results in a team environment and independently.

• Experience with writing technical reports and have experience presenting to a multi-disciplined team.

• Experience in supporting generation of test plans, knowledge of thermal test hardware and experience in the test environment.
