Brunch Hiring for Product Assistant at New York, NY Full Time

Title: Product Assistant

Location: New York City (In-Office, 5 Days/Week)

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Development & Sampling
• Assist in the development of new footwear styles, working closely with design, materials, and production.
• Help track and organize samples from factories—evaluating materials, construction, fit, and quality.
• Maintain the product development calendar, ensuring that all milestones (sample approvals, testing, and production) stay on track.
• Support fit and wear testing processes, gathering feedback and ensuring Brunch’s products meet our comfort and style standards.
• Materials & Sourcing
• Research new materials, components, and suppliers to improve product quality and innovation.
• Work with vendors to request material swatches, color options, and pricing.
• Help maintain an up-to-date library of materials and components for easy reference.
• Factory & Vendor Communications
• Communicate with factories and material suppliers daily to track progress and production timelines.
• Support vendor onboarding and relationship management to ensure seamless production.
• Help document and troubleshoot production issues, working with factories to find solutions for delays or quality concerns.
• Assist in managing purchase orders (POs), tracking orders from placement to delivery.
• Help oversee quality control, checking production samples for any inconsistencies before final production.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in product development, production, materials sourcing, or a related field (internships count!)
• Degree in fashion, business, industrial design, or a related field (preferred, but not required)
• Familiarity with footwear, accessories, or apparel production is a plus
• Proficiency in Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides), Excel, Adobe Illustrator
• Must be based in NYC and willing to work in-office 5 days a week
