JOB DESCRIPTION:

CALPAK is seeking an experienced Director of Operations & Supply Chain to lead our supply chain, demand planning, and logistics for Ecommerce and Wholesale customers. This role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on experience in building and implementing supply chain processes. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, deep supply chain knowledge, and a track record of driving efficiency and scalability.

Responsibilities include ensuring a cost-effective and efficient supply chain, strategic planning, managing logistics, optimizing processes, and leading teams to achieve business goals. This leader will collaborate with department heads, external partners, and vendors to make critical operational decisions. They will devise growth strategies, implement process improvements to maximize output and minimize costs, and work with HR to foster a trusting, inclusive, and productive environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and implement strategies for timely and accurate order processing.
• Execute integrated sales, inventory, and operations planning (SIOP).
• Monitor order processing systems and resolve issues promptly.
• Ensure exceptional customer experience and address order-related queries efficiently.
• Design and optimize inventory control processes.
• Implement efficient inventory tracking systems.
• Conduct regular inventory audits for accuracy.
• Develop strategies to minimize excess inventory and reduce stockouts.
• Oversee procurement, production scheduling, inventory management,distribution, cost management, budgeting and financial reporting.
• Ensure supply chain processes align with quality standards and timelines.
• Implement best practices & accurate financial analysis to improve efficiency and reduce costs to align with financial goals.
• Track and improve supply chain performance with key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Develop and implement accurate forecasting processes.
• Analyze sales trends and market data for inventory decisions.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Product Development teams.
• Utilize advanced forecasting techniques to improve demand accuracy.
• Oversee integration and optimization of supply chain systems (NetSuite, WMS).
• Lead system implementation projects and develop policies and procedures for compliance with industry regulations.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to align activities with business objectives.
• Lead, Mentor, Manage supply chain projects, develop succession plans for leadership continuity while ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
• Develop logistics plans to support business growth, timelines and budgets through seasonal demand.
• Interact with all levels of CALPAK management and external partners.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide professional development guidance.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies.
• Any ad hoc supply chain or operations projects as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. MBA preferred.
• 8-10 years of experience in supply chain and operations management, with 5+ years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience in creating and implementing supply chain and demand planning processes.
• Strong understanding of Ecommerce and Wholesale supply chain dynamics.
• Professional certifications such as APICS CPIM/CSCP, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, or equivalent are highly desirable.
• High proficiency in Excel, PowerBI, and data analysis tools.
• Experience with WMS and ERP systems like Deposco and NetSuite.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong project management and leadership abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
