Salt Strategic Pricing Internship (Open to Graduate Students)
The Strategic Pricing Intern will work on pricing projects that improve our commercial capabilities, including data and analytics development, pricing and profitability analysis, and econometric modeling across Food, Agriculture, Industrial and Ecommerce space.
Principal Accountabilities
Develop, refresh and validate data inputs into price setting and profitability measurement
Build and deploy analytical tools to support commercial execution of price strategies
Deeply analyze profitability and profitability leakage
Generate econometric models
Collaborate across business teams and functions to ensure data and tools address business needs
Champion the pricing improvements to ensure successful adoption and use within the business
Maintain pricing analysis subject matter aptitude, standard methodologies etc.

Required Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Masters degree from an accredited program in Business, Marketing, Economics, Finance, or related degree
Must be graduating between December 2022 and June 2023
Able to complete a 12-week internship in the summer (May/June – August 2022)
Ability to commit to 40 hours a week
Proven ability to work optimally with individuals from a diverse set of backgrounds and cultures
Right to work in the U.S. that is not solely based on possession of a student visa or visa sponsored by a third-party employer
Keen sense of priorities
Strong problem-solving skills, and ability to anticipate future business needs
Strong analytical skills and able to work with large and complex sets of business data
Skilled in visual analytic tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
Results driven, open personality with a pro-active, hands-on perspective
Inclination to challenge the status quo and be tenacious in the pursuit of meaningful change
Comfortable with ambiguity, active inquiry skills, strong communication skills, and the ability to influence without authority
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Strong Excel and data validation and visualization skills
Business proficiency in English
Some travel possible
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with an international team
Experience with Salesforce.com/CPQ and Statistical Pricing Optimization tools
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Sales, Pricing, Procurement, Supply Chain, or related field
Risk Management / Trading experience
Working experiences across multiple lines of businesses (internal or external)
Experience using database, BI, and analytical tools
Business proficiency in languages other than English
