Post training: On successful completion of training, trainee EMHPs will be equipped with the necessary skills, knowledge and capabilities to work as a qualified EMHP as autonomous and responsible practitioners within their scope of practice, alongside education colleagues.

CNWL NHS is currently recruiting to the next wave of Education Mental Health Practitioner Trainees (EMHP)as past of The Mental Health Support Teams v(MHST) funded by NHS England, Health Education England and partners to be based in the London Borough of Hillingdon.
Their aim is to work across educational settings and healthcare sectors in improving the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people in schools. The Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) role is an exciting opportunity to deliver evidence-based early interventions for children and young people.

The EHMP Training programme: To enable this, all applicants must demonstrate in their application the ability to work at degree level and have an equivalent level of relevant experience, with a proven record of previous learning or formal study in child development, wellbeing or mental health. Further to that, experience of working with children and young people and an understanding of the educational system in England is highly desirable.
Successful candidates will be offered a full-time educational programme (details below) specifically for the role. The course fees are fully funded, and the salary support for the job post will be funded at NHS Agenda for Change (AfC) at beginning Band 4.
