City is seeking a new Head of Admissions, a key leadership role within the Directorate of Academic Services that will be central to transforming admissions policy and process in support of City’s new, ambitious and exciting strategic plan.
You will be the University’s strategic and professional lead for undergraduate and postgraduate admissions. You will ensure an excellent applicant experience and a fair and transparent service. You will ensure that City is competitively placed internationally and nationally in terms of best practice, systems, widening access, sector change and policy development.
You will have previous knowledge accrued in a relevant leadership or management recruitment and/or admissions role in higher education. You will have strong ability to initiate change, and develop and implement strategy and policy while being sensitive to specific academic disciplines. You will require excellent numeracy and written skills, especially in being able to convey complex management information succinctly and in a compelling way for senior colleagues. Previous experience of managing as significant project and budget is also required.
