About The Role
Hounslow Adult and Community Education (known as Learn Hounslow) delivers the council’s Adult Education Budget allocation, which funds a range of learning opportunities to help adults develop their knowledge, skills and confidence so they can re-skill, up-skill, move into work, improve their prospects and support their families. We are currently seeking to appoint a full-time permanent Tutor to join our Skills for Work and Life team, to deliver learning and qualifications in the areas of Childcare and Teaching Assistant at Level 3 and below, as well as support adults with learning and developing their digital, communication and numeracy skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. To provide relevant high-quality learning experiences (both online and in person) through the whole learning journey – enabling learners to achieve their learning outcomes and progress to the next stage
2. To support the service with its quality assurance, support for other tutors and CPD activities.
3. To fully implement the principles and responsibilities of the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy, in all aspects and duties of the role.
Your Skills:
1. Ability to communicate clearly and appropriately with a range of people, from learners to senior managers, tutors and partners
2. Knowledge and experience of the teaching, learning and assessment in the curriculum areas of Childcare and Teaching Assistant
3. Excellent knowledge of and skills with educational digital technology
4. Excellent organisational skills
