*$19-$21/hr dependent on experience and/or current adjuster license*

Position Summary: When fully trained, this position is responsible for investigating, analyzing and settling claims filed against the BMC-84 or BMC-85 surety instrument. The adjuster will review all documentation submitted by both parties to evaluate the validity of a claim and either deny, settle or authorize payment of claim.

Job Description/Responsibilities:

Provide accurate, timely and friendly service to all claimants and clients

· Review all claim forms and documentation submitted for accuracy and completeness

· Analyze data provided by all parties and assess what, if any additional information is needed to make final determination of responsibility/coverage

· Deny, settle or authorize payment on routine claims subsequent to thorough investigation

· Communicate with surety holders, claimants and any third party representatives via phone or email keeping them informed on the claims process in a professional and courteous manner

· Negotiate with both sides to obtain mutually agreeable settlement within contract terms

· Recommend cancellation of surety as needed

· Assist in any other project or duty as requested by Manager

Education and Qualifications:

• High School or equivalent
• Must be willing to obtain a property/casualty adjuster license. We will pay for training and testing costs
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be detail oriented, able to organize and multi-task
• Proficient skill level with computer programs including Data Management systems
• Pay dependent on experience and/or current adjuster license

Physical Demands:

· Push, pull, lift up to 25 pounds

· Normal vision and hearing abilities with or without correction

· Work environment is generally quiet and of a normal temperature

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 – $21.00 per hour
