This is an exciting opportunity to join and lead a Nurse education team to support and deliver high quality nurse education to ensure our post registration nursing workforce are fully equipped to provide outstanding and compassionate care.
Are you a highly motivated individual with a proven track record in designing and delivering nursing education, who would relish the chance to support the Trust in achieving its vision of “Improving the quality of life for all we serve”? .
You will lead the community nursing education team providing guidance and professional leadership to the practice development nurses for post registration education in the Newham, Tower Hamlets and Bedfordshire community nursing teams and mental health teams.
You will be responsible for developing and maintain excellent inter-professional partnership working with a range of stakeholders both internally and externally, providing vision and excellence in nursing development across the communities we serve.
The role will involve leading on the design of staff education programs, teaching in the classroom and using virtual platforms and promoting best evidence based clinical practice within the community setting. You will be excited at the opportunity to respond to the local learning needs and national strategic priorities, delivering teaching programs at pace in the dynamic and exciting community nursing setting.
The post holder will lead the education team in the implementation of the ELFT education strategy and in driving up the standards of care across the community nursing sector. You will represent ELFT community services at local and national education and clinical forums and provide expertise and advice to lead nurses, general managers and clinical leads in all things regarding practice education.
The successful applicant will be expected to act as a positive role model and use highly developed interpersonal and communication skills to develop, support and motivate individuals and groups within the learning environment.
