Job Description
A Server coordinates the entire service station and communicates with front of the house and back of the house personnel to provide a dining experience that exceeds guest expectations. Functionally reports to the Restaurant Manager.
Greets guests and presents them with the menu
Informs guests of specials, menu changes, answers questions regarding food, beverages and allergies
Receives food and beverage orders from guests and relays to kitchen staff and bartender using a POS system
Communicates with the hosts, table support team, kitchen staff and bartenders to coordinate stations
Presents, open and pours wine and beer when serving guests
Assists table support team with stocking work stations, removing and resetting used dishes/silverware
Assists with cash register at counter-service restaurants
Performs other duties as required or assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Knowledge of the sequence of service and dining room procedures
Excellent communication skills
Basic math skills
Job Requirements
Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends and holidays
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
