Job Description:
Monitors and reviews incomplete medical records to ensure compliance with the Medical Staff Bylaws, Joint Commission and other governing body standards and contacts physicians/providers regarding incomplete medical records. Assists with medical record completion inquiries. Facilitates information flow to coding, billing, and continued patient care processes by accounting for, analysis, and scanning/indexing the electronic health record and reviews and releases protected health information. Scans and indexes medical records into Epic or other appropriate imaging system. Performs quality review on scans and indexes ensuring accuracy, readability and completeness of capture. Assists customers with medical record information requests. Experience: If no coursework in medical terminology, then 1 year experience required working with patient health care records.

Education Qualifications:
Completion of coursework in medical terminology or 1 year experience required working with patient health care records.
