Role Title: Vice President – Digital International Leader
BU/Segment: EXL Digital
Location: Dublin, Ireland (with normal business travel)

Summary of the role:
The Digital International Leader is a critical business leadership role responsible for overseeing the successful development and execution of the Digital business unit strategy and delivery of EXL’s services and solutions to Digital clients. In this role, they will participate in developing EXL’s global strategies for Digital, providing strategic input and management for EXL’s markets. The Digital International Leader will collaborate closely with Line of Business executives, and strategy and growth leaders throughout the organization to ensure a cohesive approach to growth that maximizes the long-term value of the business. They will also drive efficient day-to-day operations, lead change management initiatives, improve processes, and promote career progression and retention of staff. To excel in this position, they must have exceptional strategy development, leadership and management skills, and a deep understanding of the delivery process in a service-oriented business.
As part of your duties, you will be responsible for:
Driving the business to realize its long-term goals by translating strategies into actionable and quantitative plans, effective strategy cascades, and driving execution through ongoing performance management.
Leading through influence to increase the rigor in the strategic planning process and ensure that investment resources are optimized across the organization
Developing “upstream market research” strategy and policies for market and industry intelligence (e.g., collect feedback from clients, gather intelligence from market-facing teams, perform competitive industry strategy analysis, develop market share analysis)
Uncovering and assessing new growth options to determine which will provide the best opportunities to sustain top- and bottom-line expansion.
Providing input into global commercial strategy through participation in the EXL Global Steering Committee / Executive Committee, as appropriate
Providing input into the development of business continuity/risk mitigation strategies and make strategic decisions with respect to the same
Partner with the CTO in the US to discuss new opportunities and processes for digitization and collaboratively manage development and deployment within the businesses
Collaborate with the leaders of the vertical BUs within Ireland and outside Ireland to identify digital solutions opportunities
Participate in developing a strategic plan once an opportunity has been identified on what can be delivered based on the Digital capabilities and a strategy for the monetization of the digital solution
Participate in developing the strategic roadmap for the solution including the investment required (internal cost/external cost), target customers, pricing mechanism for the solution i.e., whether offered as a standalone solution vs part of transformation engagements, ROI/payback period
Assist the EVP of Digital in presenting the strategic plan to the EC
Participate in the decision-making process related to the investment and funding decisions of digital solutions.
Approve pricing / determine pricing guidelines for digital products
Provide input into the marketing strategy for digital products
Providing input into the development of commercial strategies along with KBOs and KPIs
Providing input into marketing strategy and marketing materials
Providing strategic direction and oversight for the client delivery function globally, ensuring that service delivery teams meet or exceed client expectations
Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders, to ensure the successful delivery of projects and services
Defining and leading the stage gate methodology for investments including development of new service offerings, working closely with the sales and marketing teams to ensure that they meet the needs of clients and are aligned with the overall business strategy
Monitoring key performance indicators and metrics to track the performance of the client delivery function, identifying areas for improvement, and taking corrective action as needed
Driving continuous improvement in service delivery processes, including identifying and implementing best practices and process improvements
Providing guidance and mentorship to service delivery managers and teams, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning and development
Developing and maintaining regular reporting on client delivery performance, including key metrics such as project status, resource utilization, and client satisfaction
Staying current with industry best practices and benchmarking the client delivery function against competitors and peers, maintaining a repository of best practices and process documents for the client delivery function
Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, laws, and industry standards, as well as the company’s policies and procedures
Partnering with the human resources team to recruit, develop, and retain top talent, ensuring that the team has the necessary skills and expertise to meet client needs
Collaborating with other functions within the company, such as sales, marketing, finance, and operations, to ensure that the Digital business unit strategy, including the client delivery function, is aligned with EXL’s overall strategy and goals
Liaising with EXL’s Centers of Excellence based in Ireland to provide necessary Digital insights, input, validation, and recommendations regarding developing Companywide best practices
Qualifications and experience we consider to be essential for the role:
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., business administration, management, engineering, computer science)
Proven record of accomplishment for leading a business unit, including liaising with global leadership and operating teams globally to develop and implement a strategic business management plan
At least 10 years of experience in U.S. Digital data and analytics, service delivery or operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
Strong understanding of service delivery processes and methodologies, such as ITIL, Agile, or Lean, and demonstrated experience in implementing these frameworks
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders in a globally matrixed environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex issues and challenges
Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders
Demonstrated track record of driving continuous improvement and delivering results
