Appointment method:
Candidates must meet the minimum qualifications listed below in order to be eligible for appointment:
Non-Competitive: Graduation from a High School Secretarial Program OR 1 or 2 years college curriculum in Secretarial Science OR 1 year experience working as Secretary; this training and experience includes typing – proficiency and formatting at 50 WPM and 6-9 credits in Office/Secretarial Procedures, Business Math/Accounting, Communications/Business English.
Positions located within the New York City metropolitan area, as well as Suffolk, Nassau, Rockland, and Westchester Counties, are also eligible to receive an additional $3,026 annual downstate adjustment.
Appointment to this position is pending Governor Appointment’s Office and Division of Budget approval.
