The role:
Our Voice Clients team is looking for an energetic software engineer who is passionate about creating robust, mission critical voice client that are very important part of Five9’s contact center solution. In this position you will need to work on many different technologies like SIP, WebRTC, ICE/ICELite, Web Sockets, VDI etc.
Required Skills:
- Must have a Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree (preference given to Computer Science, Engineering and STEM majors – and suitable industry coding or opensource experience is welcome too)
- 1-2 years of professional or open-source experience, some coding experience is highly appreciated
- Excellent problem solver
- Passionate about coding and customers.
- Strong Computer Science fundamentals: Algorithms, Data structures, OOP, Event-driven programming, Distributed systems, etc.
- Excellent knowledge of either JavaScript, Java core and Linux fundamentals
Appreciated Skills:
- 2+ years of professional or open-source experience writing RESTful APIs and developing services in Java, Javascript, Python, C/C++ knowledge is desrirable
- Agile coding experience, working in small teams that have made a big impact fast
- Familiarity with standard async patterns (events, closures, callbacks, promises, error handling, etc.)
- Never ending desire to self-educate on the latest list of technologies
- Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases
- Experience with GIT SCM
- Experience with any public cloud platform is a plus
