About the Opportunity

We have an opportunity that has become available for a Nights shift Team Leader due to an internal move. In this role you will be reporting to the Beverages Shift Manager Nights B which will be based in Takanini.

This role will be responsible for ensuring that our dairy products are properly managed and distributed in accordance with operational schedules during the busy nightshift. This is a complex and fast-moving warehouse environment with chilled daily fresh dairy products. The Team Leader will need to maintain close links with their production counterparts to cross functional alignment between production, engineering, cool store, processing and transport to ensure that orders are picked and dispatched accurately and on time.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading a team of 9 store persons and despatchers
• Ensuring safety and quality everyday and supporting NCR/FP investigations
• Supporting recruitment and onboarding of new people as well as training
• Crewing activities including organisation of staff, and allocation of resources
• Ensuring daily TBDC performance measures are meet including DIFOT (deliver in full on time) and cycle counting
• Continuous improvement, problem solving and IWS deployment.

This is a fantastic opportunity to step up to a front line leadership role or branch out into a new part of the business to oversee the cool room nights B team at Takanini.

About You

Other skills and experience include:

• Several years industry experience (preferably food) in a Warehouse/DC environment
• Forklift license
• Be comfortable working in a cold environment as our cool store is a large refrigerator
• Ability to lead a team and influence others, balance conflicting priorities and work under pressure
• Ability to make decisions within authority limits and when necessary, escalate issues
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Strong computer skills, including MS Outlook.

***This role will align to our 3:2:2 roster pattern. 7 x 12 hour shifts worked per fortnight (every other long weekend off) starting 17.09 to 17:15
