Job Summary

As a Junior Web Developer, you will collaborate with our in-house team of graphic designers to transform creative concepts into fully functional, user-friendly websites. Your role will be integral in maintaining, updating, and enhancing our existing web properties, as well as developing new web-related projects. You will have the opportunity to work remotely while contributing to our ongoing success.

Key Responsibilities

Write clean, well-designed, and efficient code while adhering to established standards and best practices.

Collaborate closely with our graphic designers to translate visual design into functioning websites, ensuring a seamless user experience.

Work with marketing managers to understand business requirements and develop web solutions that meet those needs.

Maintain, support, and expand our portfolio of websites, utilizing technologies such as WordPress and custom solutions.

Design and implement projects using a range of technologies, including LAMP, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, SCSS/SASS/LESS, JavaScript, mySQL/SQL databases, PHP, and more, with a focus on cross-browser compatibility and mobile-first design.

Uphold web accessibility standards to ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and other relevant regulations.

Stay current with emerging technologies, digital marketing trends, and best development practices.

Participate in pair programming and code reviews to promote collaboration and quality.

Integrate data from various backend services and databases to enhance website functionality.

Provide training and support to management teams and marketing staff on content management systems (CMS), including WordPress.

Qualifications

A strong understanding of web development principles and practices.

Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Google Analytics.

Familiarity with APIs and experience in using them effectively.

Proficiency in CMS development, particularly with WordPress.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work well under pressure and multitask effectively.
