Goldman Sachs Hiring for GMD, GSET Execution Solutions, Associate, London at London Full Time

Global Markets Division enables our clients to buy and sell financial products, raise funding and manage risk. We make markets and facilitate client transactions in fixed income, equity, currency and commodity products. In addition, we make markets in and clear client transactions on major stock, options and futures exchanges worldwide. Through our global sales force, we maintain relationships with our clients, receiving orders and distributing investment research, trading ideas, market information and analysis.

THE TEAM

The GSET Execution Solutions desk works closely with the GSET coverage team and clients to improve the performance of our algorithms and smart order router (SOR). The successful candidate will understand how the client(s) measure and benchmark GS and create custom/bespoke solutions to meet their trading objectives. The candidate will also be involved in the creation of market structure content to distribute both internally and externally.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

• Execution solutions coverage for a list of focus clients with the aim to be Top 3 ranked with all.
• Owns the client experience fully:
  • S/he is the client’s point of contact for queries on existing products and recommendations on new business/strategies
  • Performs data analyses and identifies improvements to existing products, makes recommendations to clients, oversees the setup and confirms with data that changes meet expectations
  • Monitors performance both in absolute terms and relative to peers, and regularly reports to internal/external stakeholders
• Improves/expands existing tooling as new needs and use cases arise
• Will be involved in the generation of content for distribution to clients

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Good understanding of equity trading, including electronic/algo trading
• Previous experience with data analysis or “light” coding, or a keen interest in these areas; can visualise and gain insights from raw data
• Aims to be self-sufficient and independent when it comes to performing core tasks
• Excellent communication and team-working skills
