Health Education England Hiring for Head of Media Job at Leeds, England , UK Full Time

The Head of Media’s primary responsibility is to ensure the delivery of a comprehensive, efficient and effective integrated news and social media communications service throughout the organisation , managing a team of communications media professionals and influencing, liaising with and advising senior colleagues across HEE and on the national and regional leadership teams and the wider organisation.

The Head of Media provides strategic leadership and planning for the media function of the external communications team. The role requires strong decision making, organisation and leadership skills and the ability to work with stakeholders, peers and leaders internally and externally to HEE. They will lead a highly effective media team delivering proactive and reactive communications and be highly skilled in reputation management.

The role also requires experience of planning and delivering multi-channel external communications which are high quality, evaluated, reported upon and continuously improved. This includes developing, writing and approving messaging for news releases, content for social media channels, internally-facing e-newsletters, and senior management team (SMT) updates.

Salary Progression

Applicants will commence at the bottom of Band 8b with a full-time starting salary of £54,764, with a pay step increase after 5 years’ service.

For posts based in Inner London, the above salaries will include the additional supplement of 20% of basic salary, subject to a minimum payment of £4,608 per annum and a maximum payment of £7,097 per annum.

This is offered in accordance with NHS Terms and Conditions and is based on office location.
