About us…
When you join DB, you join the global HEINEKEN whanau that spans 70 countries! We’re a place that encourages you to be yourself, contribute your ideas, learn and grow as part of one of the largest beer and cider brewing companies in the world. We’re an equal employment opportunity workplace because we believe diverse views make great brews, and our culture is very much reflected in our four values:
The wellbeing of our team is really important to us and, for our permanent employees, we demonstrate this in lots of ways:
DB also plays an active part in New Zealand’s fair pay efforts by openly reporting on and addressing gender pay gaps while contributing to and supporting the great work being done with the Pacific Pay Gap Inquiry.
About this job…
If you’ve ever been curious about what it takes for the best brewery on the Kapiti Coast to deliver their award-winning Tuatara beverages, this is your chance to be part of the magic…
Day to day, our Production Assistants support the Packaging team, operating the machinery that enables secondary and tertiary packaging of our highly-prized products. Adhering to safety and quality standards is a big part of the role so you’ll constantly pay attention to your surroundings and the safety of the wider team and, generally, pitch in wherever you’re needed. It’s a fun environment with an enthusiastic and welcoming team, and you’ll get to learn from some of the best in the brewing business.
This is a full time, 40 hour per week role working Monday to Friday. Your 8 hour shifts will be 6.30am to 3.00pm but you may be required to work anywhere between the hours of 6.30am and 7.00pm.
So, what are we looking for? There’s plenty of physical/repetitive work in this role and the team often work at pace, so you’ll need to be physically able and reasonably resilient. If you’ve ever worked in a manufacturing or warehousing environment, you’ll understand what that means, but experience in these environments isn’t essential. More important is your positive attitude, willingness to learn, desire to help out wherever the need team need you, and a keen eye for detail when it comes to safety.
Joining the Tuatara team means joining DB Breweries and becoming part of the global Heineken family. We value innovation and individuality – this is a place where you can feel free to be yourself and share your ideas about how we can be even better. And sustainability’s a key part of how we do business, because we believe DB can be a positive force for change in New Zealand.
Apply now… we look forward to meeting you.
