Food Safety and Health (IFSH) is a unique and one-of-a-kind consortium
between Illinois Tech, FDAs Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition
(CFSAN), and the food industry. IFSH comprises Illinois Tech scientists,
faculty and staff, working collaboratively with FDA scientists of CFSANs
Division of Food Processing Science and Technology physically co-located
at the Illinois Tech Moffett Campus in the field of food safety,
technology and nutrition, and with participation from food industry
member companies. The uniqueness of IFSH where FDA, academia and the
industry collaborate and conduct research in a neutral ground to address
major national food safety and nutrition issues has grown IFSH into a
diverse premier research institution attracting scientists nationally
and internationally.

IFSH hosts the Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA) and
Sprout Safety Alliance (SSA) both sharing an objective of developing
training curricula for the food industry. The FSPCA members include
senior food safety experts, including government agencies, industry and
academia.

An FSPCA Project Coordinator position has been developed to support the
FSPCA. As a member of the FSPCA program leadership team, this role will
manage specific projects as detailed by the IFSH FSPCA Program Manager.
Through weekly connects the coordinator implements the activities to
achieve the goals for current projects in motion. This will be achieved
by actively reaching out to the appropriate team members to activate the
plan, create and manage timelines, and track deliverables. The candidate
is expected to be well organized, love to get things done, and really
enjoy working with a diverse range of people from around the world.
