As the manager for the Data Operations team within Data Platforms organization at Indeed, you will have a direct impact on the business by ensuring the availability and reliability of core datasets and pipelines that enable key dashboards, advanced analytics and machine learning (ML) models. You understand that the best managers serve their teams, removing roadblocks and giving individual contributors autonomy and ownership. Your Job
Responsibilities
- Provide technical and team leadership and management for Indeed’s employees & contractors
- Have an ongoing pulse and understanding of the operational health of core critical datasets, data pipelines and proactively take actions to respond to critical issues
- Create streamlined processes and procedures to ensure operational stability and continuity
- Scale monitoring and observability through automation tools to support critical processes
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to implement solutions that meet their needs, while making sure the priorities for your team are properly aligned to business needs
- Lead and direct projects to ensure a high quality, reliable operational support and partner with team members and leaders across the broader organization to deliver results
- Perform root cause analysis for internal events, conduct retrospectives and operational reviews with members of cross-functional team and across management levels
- Focus on performance, security and quality measures that are monitored continuously to detect unexpected variation and generate operational statistics
- Mature Data Operations with best practices and a healthy blend of industry standard tools and inbuilt tools offering customers best-in-class solutions
Who You Are

Required Skills- 4+ years experience leading IT Operations teams in a highly data driven environment
- Experience working with Data Operations principles and practices
- Strong quantitative skills to propose and surface operational metrics that drive reliability improvements
- Experience working with cloud platform data warehouse technologies, DevOps and industry standard cloud monitoring tools
- Familiarity with ITIL / ITSM framework to develop high operational effectiveness standards
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, and comfortable presenting at all levels
- Sensitivity to clients’ needs and able to develop warm client relationships
- Bachelor’s degree in math, computer science, engineering or equivalent technical field
Desired Skills- M.S. in math, computer science, engineering or equivalent technical field
- Field Experience with Data Operations Management and principles of Data Governance, Data Quality and Operational Management

Salary Range Disclaimer
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.

US Remote 113,000 – 165,000 USD per year
Austin 113,000 – 165,000 USD per year
NYC Metro Area 136,000 – 198,000 USD per year
SF Bay Area 149,000 – 217,000 USD per year
Seattle 128,000 – 186,000 USD per year
