Job Description

Position Overview

As the Benefits Manager, you will lead the benefits team and support
internal and external stakeholders that require assistance with
day-to-day benefits related matters for Invenergy’s domestic and
international benefits programs. You will research, analyze, evaluate
and administer benefits plans to meet the organization’s strategy and
goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Open Enrollment process for both the US and International
  plans (annually)
• Act as a Tier 2 point of escalation for employee or manager
  inquiries via email or by phone
• Support/Lead Wellness programs and other initiatives that best serve
  the needs of employees, with the intent to reduce overall plan cost
• Support the management of vendor and carrier relationships
• Assist with maintaining Benefit integration files between the
  Benefit enrollment site, Workday and Benefits carriers
• Approve Benefits vendor invoices after reconciliation process is
  completed by the Benefits Specialist; This is required for US and
  International plans
• Support other Human Resources team members with Benefits issues;
  Document trends and proactively recommend process and/or system
  improvements; This is required for US and International plans
• Own the Leave of Absence process and partner with other Human
  Resources team members as needed
• Serve as a contingency plan and support for conducting New Hire
  Benefits Orientation sessions
• Provide process improvements for current Rewards and Recognition
  programs
• Partner with internal and external resources to develop Benefit
  communication materials
• Support the Payroll team and Benefits Specialist to conduct Benefits
  audit process each pay period
• Actively support the administration of Invenergy’s 401(k) plan with
  Fidelity
• Ensures all plans are compliant according to ERISA and DOL
  regulations
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or
  another related field
• Minimum of 5 to 7 years of progressively responsible experience in
  area of HR, particularly related to Benefits, Retirement plans and
  Leave Administration
• Knowledge of all applicable state and federal laws: DOL, FLSA,
  ERISA, EEO, Affirmative Action and ACA

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with both Fully and Self-Insured Healthcare plans
• Demonstrated ability to partner with various departments to
  understand the business needs and develop suitable programs
• Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills
• Excellent verbal, written, grammatical and proofreading skills;
  Ability to pay attention to detail
• Exceptional customer service skills to employees, internal and
  external stakeholders
• Strong organization, accountability, time-management, and written
  and oral communication skills
• Flexible and proactive problem-solver, adept at achieving results in
  a team-oriented and/or collaborative environment Ability to work
  independently, collaboratively, and maintain confidentiality.
• CEBS certification preferred, but not required
