Reporting to the Manager, the Project Assistant provides confidential project-related administrative support functions and activities for the manager. The Project Assistant will be required to manage all aspects of staff onboarding to the site and to maintain all staffing lines and adequate casual staff lists. The Project Assistant will ensure required orientation, education and certification of all new and existing employees.
The Project Assistant works as a liaison between leadership and staff with regard to staffing queries, and maintains the integrity and confidentiality of all information that flows through and is processed for management as it pertains to client care, operations, personnel and labour relations, as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Training And Experience
A level of education, training and experience equivalent to high school graduation plus additional related coursework in office or business administration and at least three (3) years’ related experience in a large complex organization, preferably in a clinical program/portfolio or government/health authority setting.
Skills And Abilities
Ability to organize and prioritize work.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Effective time management skills.
Ability to deal with others effectively.
Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others.
Ability to type 60 wpm and draft professional correspondence.
Knowledge of applicable computer hardware and software programs and ability to perform web based searches.
Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
