rAbout This Role:
The Staley School of Leadership Studies invites applications for two full-time faculty positions. The instructors/assistant professors of teaching will teach leadership courses and support the mission of the School – developing knowledgeable, ethical, caring, inclusive leaders for a diverse and changing world. Selected candidates will be responsible for a combination of the following: teach and administer an introductory large lecture course, prepare peer educators, teach smaller sized leadership courses, and advise a departmental student organization; and support the mission of the Staley School of Leadership Studies. Staley School faculty work in teaching teams as appropriate and co-create curriculum in addition to administering the daily operations of their courses. Positions teaching the introductory course are also central to the recruitment priorities of the School and the University.
Responsibilities of this role include:
80% Teach undergraduate courses in leadership
10% Serve on departmental, college, and university committees
10% Contribute to co-curricular leadership programs of the Staley School of Leadership Studies in leadership development, service learning, and student civic engagement.
Rank (assistant professor or instructor) will be determined based on the educational qualifications shown below.

Minimum Qualifications:
+ Minimum Requirements:
+ Assistant Professor – Ph.D. is required by start date
+ Instructor – Master’s degree is required by start date
+ Experience with engaged teaching or facilitating engaged educational experiences
+ Demonstrated evidence of commitment to equity and an ability to work effectively with diverse populations
+ Demonstrated ability to speak effectively in front of large groups
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Demonstrated evidence of a strong commitment to mentoring students at the post-secondary level
+ Demonstrated evidence of success as an advocate for the whole student experience at the post-secondary level
+ Demonstrated evidence of a strong commitment to pedagogies of engagement such as applied learning, service lear ing, internships, learning communities, and civic engagement
