We are currently searching for talented individuals that shares our corporate values and beliefs to fill an immediate full-time requirement for a Shipper role in our Uxbridge, Ontario facility.

What You Will Do In Your Role

• Embrace Koch MBM® Guiding Principles and EH&S compliance requirements
• Drive continuous improvement efforts and defect reduction initiatives
• Support our proactive safety culture
• Perform day to day activities of Shipping department. Update and communicate with supervisor regularly
• Build crates for shipment of products. Must be able to interpret dimensional drawings
• Properly load and place equipment parts into crates to avoid damage to parts during transit
• Ensure all crates are identified with required information and all necessary documentation attached to crates. Ensure work is carried out free of defects.
• Follow established procedures for packaging, crating, boxing, bundling, wrapping, strapping and labeling.
• Operate lift trucks and other equipment to move parts to required locations and load / unload trucks as necessary
• Ensure information pertaining to orders is updated in the system as per ISO procedures.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong work ethic
• Ability to handle materials and parts up to 50lbs
• Flexible, adaptable, ability to work overtime

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

• Ability to safely operate lifting equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes.
• Must be experienced in operation of hand power tools, chop saws, nail gun, measuring tools to build shipping crates to specifications
• Desirable to have basic working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Strong attention to detail
• Good interpersonal & communication skills
• Work well in a team environment
• Good English communication skills – both verbal and written.

What Will Put You Ahead:

• Desirable to have one or two years of experience as Shipper
• 3 years’ experience with operating lifting equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes
• Valid driver’s license
