The Virtual Sales Engineer is responsible for the following:
Main Responsibilities:

• Act as a single point of contact for customers providing technical support, pre-sale, and post sales activities for sales under a prescribed dollar amount and complexity
• Collaborate and communicate with outside sales personal to ensure full coverage of customer needs
• Provide general technical support on all Leybold Products
• Takes ownership to understand the customer needs
• Effectively offers product alternatives for customers based on clear application requirements to best meet customer requirements and to support sales objectives
• Recognize that a customer of one product could also purchase other Leybold products
• Demonstrate proactive selling of Leybold products. Identifies opportunities for expanding the sale through additional options and complimentary products
• Maintains customer databases
• Other duties as assigned

This position requires occasional travel for less than 5% of the position.
This position will have remote flexibility after training (60% in office/40% remote).

What we expect from you:
Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
Education level

• B.S. degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, other Technical disapline, business or marketing with a technical aptitude

Relevant Previous experience

• Entry Level, 1-3 years of technical experience preferred
• Vacuum equipment or selling of technical product experience a plus

Knowledge areas/Skills

• Excellent oral & written communication skills
• Working knowledge of MS Office Products
• Positive customer-focused attitude and successful interaction in a dynamic team environment is a must
• Strong critical thinking skills
• Great attention to details and problem-solving abilities
• Phenomenal teammate who is flexible and adaptable
• A self-starter with strong work ethic

Other requirements

• Fluent in Spanish is a plus
• Valid driver’s license.
