Job Description

The Human Resources Recruiter is responsible for assisting the Recruiting Manager (RM) in supporting the HR recruiting program, policies, and initiatives for the U.S. Liebherr companies and operating divisions.

Responsibilities

• Recruits for position openings for U.S. Liebherr companies and operating divisions.
• Ensures position requisitions are approved prior to recruiting.
• Prepares and coordinates internal and external position postings in MySuccess.
• Perform searches for qualified job candidates, using sources such as computer databases, networking, Internet recruiting resources, media advertisements, job fairs, recruiting firms, or employee referrals.
• Review and evaluate applicant qualifications and refers qualified applications to managers, making hiring recommendations when appropriate.
• Maintains employment logs, files, and prepares applicant correspondence.
• Assists with coordinating pre-employment requirements, including background checks, drug screens, and physicals.
• Assists with coordinating relocation activities.
• Assists with preparing offer packages.
• Inform job applicants of details such as duties and responsibilities, compensation, benefits, schedules, working conditions, or promotion opportunities.
• Interview job applicants to obtain information on work history, training, education, or job skills.
• Coordinate with outside staffing agencies to secure temporary employees, based on departmental needs.
• Prepare or maintain employment records related to events, such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions, using human resources management system software.
• Assists with new employee orientation and exit interviews.
• Create brand awareness and promote the value of working for the U.S. companies.
• Engage potential candidates through social media.
• Participate in recruiting events.
• Work closely with the recruiting team to support the U.S. companies’ recruiting strategy.
• Assist with tracking, measuring and reporting on recruiting efforts.
• Participates in salary surveys. Assists RM and HRMs with developing compensation systems, salary ranges, and job descriptions.
• Maintains HR system(s) required for recruiting, position management, requisitions, workforce planning as well as administrative reporting and communication purposes (i.e. MySuccess, ADP, SharePoint, etc.).
• Creates routine and custom reports.
• Interpret and explain HR policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations.
• Studies the impact of legislation and supports compliance with federal and state laws.
• Coordinates with applicable HR representatives to ensure compliance with company policies.
• Assists HR with preparing draft visa packages.
• Assists HR with random drug testing.

Competencies

• A related Bachelor’s degree and one year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver license and passport.
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule required to support U.S. site locations and foreign affiliates.
• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff inside and outside of Liebherr.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Ability to maintain discretion and handle sensitive information.
• Solid working knowledge of employment, benefits, immigration, OSHA law.
• Proficient in MS Office; internet and intranet software; payroll systems; and HRIS systems.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and calculate figures and amounts.
• Demonstrated strong analytical and problem resolution skills.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions.
