Special Needs Teaching Assistants for 1:1 Support & Intervention Groups

We are recruiting for experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to support an outstanding primary school in Birmingham. The role would be full time, working 8:30am – 3:45pm, Monday to Friday during term time.

Location: Birmingham

Weekly Pay: £320 – £350 (Take Home Pay AFTER deductions)

Hours of Work: 8:30am – 3:45pm / (term-time only)

Start: September 2022

Post Objective: To be able to provide the students with excellent 1:1 support in the classroom. This also includes supporting complex SEN and tailoring interventions to suit the needs of every individual. You will be required to have experience working in a similar setting. The children will have a range of needs that create challenges for them to successfully access the curriculum.

The successful Teaching Assistants will be required to work in a range of year groups. These roles would be ideal for anyone looking to extend their skills in working with children ahead of teacher training.

Teaching Assistants at school provide a range of classroom support which can include teaching groups of children under the direction of a teacher. The roles will involve supporting groups and individuals with special educational needs and implementing ‘next step plans’. TAs supervise classes for EYFS, KS1 & KS2.

• Running interventions for students who require additional support
• Working 1:1 in the classroom
• Engaging students in lessons
• Keeping track of students learning goals and achievements
