The role
Due to growth, company stability and an optimistic outlook within the future of the business, Tribal are recruiting for a new Senior Bid Manager to support across all ES projects within a diverse range of channels and verticals. Working on new and existing bids, the Senior Bid Manager will lead a full end-to-end bid management service which includes writing bespoke bids to match complex client specifications whilst ensuring high quality output, drawing up bid win strategies, solution design and problem solving.
Reporting directly into the Director of Business Development, the Senior Bid Manager will take full ownership of the individual opportunity bid process from start to finish, overseeing the documentation, collation and tender submission process, while maintaining high levels of governance; before submitting the bid to our prospective new client.
As well as the bid production process, the Senior Bid Manager will also have overall responsibility for managing customer as well as internal stakeholder relationships ensuring Tribal is well positioned to win high-value contracts in our target markets. The Senior Bid Manager will also manage and co-ordinate the commercial & legal input into proposals and tenders, while ensuring efficient transition to project implementation when contracts have been won.
Finally, as the Bid team at Tribal ES, is already established but also growing there will be an opportunity to manage and recruit new members for the future. This will include providing practical coaching, support and training to all members in the team where required.
The person
Practical experience in a bid management/writing role in a public-sector procurement environment (this is essential), ideally with knowledge or experience within the education sector.
You will be an effective independent business development professional with excellent time management, organisation/prioritisation, and problem-solving skills.
As a front-facing contact for our large B2B/B2G bids, you will have outstanding written and verbal communication skills with a knack for distilling complex information into key messages to produce focused bid responses.
You will have a friendly, flexible and proactive approach, as well as the determination and drive to succeed in a busy, fast-paced environment. Your commercial awareness and strong sector knowledge will contribute to your success in this role.
You will be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools such as Word and Excel and will be comfortable learning and using new software tools in support of the role.
Your strong project management and planning skills along with your meticulous attention to detail will ensure that you are able to meet deadlines whilst producing work of the highest quality.
