About the Job:

You will be working in collaboration with our Procurement Team, Buyers and Freight Forwarders, managing a portfolio of Lush suppliers in a supporting and administrative role providing a high level of service. We touch on many areas of the business working with multiple departments and are very much at the heart of the supply chain so excellent communication all round is key.

As you develop your skills with support and internal training you will be using our import log to arrange global collections; ensuring that all data is accurate and kept up to date whilst responding to emails in a timely manner. You will also be giving instructions for customs clearance, ensuring we are compliant, checking customs entries and on occasion may have dealings with the department of HMRC. Ensuring that all documentation is kept up together, as well as keeping our key information up to date for everyday use is critical.

It’s an interesting role that will arouse your curiosity as no day is ever the same. You will come to know where we import our ethically sourced raw materials from globally to deliver in good time for our production teams. You will need to be a focused and flexible team player, pro-active and responsive to urgent requests. Being able to prioritise your workload is essential. The role is ever evolving so a positive attitude to change and personal development is essential.

The Ideal candidate will have the following key attributes to offer us:

• Good computer skills with a good working knowledge of Excel.
• Knowledge of our QAD system is desirable but not essential as training will given
• Knowledge of logistics desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
• Good English – written and spoken
• A great telephone manner and great all-round communicator.
• Able to prioritize workload, remain focused on task and work well under pressure.
• Be confident in what you do but have a willingness to learn, listen and upskill.
• A keen eye with excellent attention to detail is essential.
• A flexible team player as well as able to work alone, be self-motivated and manage own workload.
• A great work ethic with a passion for excellent customer service and getting the job done!

Your role would involve:

• Work in collaboration with our Buyers and Procurement Team to ensure all orders are captured on our import log for further actioning.
• Work in collaboration with our Lush Suppliers so that we have all the necessary information and correct documents to book collections in accordance with all customs regulations to ensure we are compliant.
• Work in collaboration with nominated freight forwarders to ensure collections and deliveries are managed and planned in the most effective way considering service, cost, mode of freight and ethics.
• Complete and maintain regular month end and QAD housekeeping procedures (e.g. ensure all data on the import log is complete and up to date for all past shipments, chase FFW’s for customs entry documents where required, check all past due dates on the import log and take the appropriate action for them, file shipping documents in the appropriate place on the M-drive, ensure our supplier portfolio is kept up to date to include any special instructions, assist with monthly VAT queries from our VAT and accounts departments.
• Internal and external training to upskill to include becoming fully hazardous trained to ensure all hazardous material is distributed within IATA, ADR and IMDG guidelines to enable shipping with appropriate and accurate paperwork.
• Provide reports when requested for analysis.
• Provide help and assistance in a friendly and efficient manner to both internal and external suppliers, freight forwarders and colleagues.
• Comply with H&S regulations & be proactive with the wellbeing of yourself & your fellow team members
