Job Overview

The Assistant, Brand Strategy plays a crucial role in the success of Macy’s campaigns and communication efforts. In this role, they help shape Macy’s brand story by supporting the Brand Strategy team in the development and execution of effective marketing campaigns. They learn from industry experts and contribute to building a strong brand identity for Macy’s.

What You Will Do

• Assist the Brand Strategy team in developing campaign materials by gathering necessary information and supporting the creation of marketing plans:
• Gather and organize relevant data to support campaign analysis.
• Collaborate with partners to ensure the timely delivery of all data needed to inform creative briefs, including customer insights and trend and fashion forecasts.
• Contribute to the postmortem process to capture key successes and opportunities for future campaigns.
• Manage internal schedules and meetings to ensure projects stay on track.
• Build strong relationships with external agency partners, ensuring smooth collaboration and successful outcomes.
• Foster a positive and collaborative environment where all teams work together effectively.

Skills You Will Need

Understanding of Consumer Behavior: A strong grasp of consumer behavior and a passion for developing effective brand messaging and strategies.

Research and Analytical Skills: Excellent ability to gather, organize, and analyze data to support campaign analysis and strategy development.

Organizational and Time Management Skills: Strong organizational abilities to manage internal schedules, meetings, and ensure that projects stay on track.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with external partners.

Collaboration: Ability to foster a positive and collaborative environment, working seamlessly with various teams.

Continuous Learning: Enthusiasm for continuous learning and professional development to stay updated with industry trends and improve skills.

• Candidates with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply. 1-2 years of experience in marketing or a related field.
